Salary Range:
£38,000 - £46,000 gross pa, depending on experience


Due to sustained business growth, we are excited to have a
People and Culture Partner to join us on a permanent basis.


This is a
hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from home (minimum 3 days/ week based at our Bracknell head office and doing site visits across London and surroundings at least once/ month).


We are looking for an
enthusiastic, pro-active and highly organised individual with
experience working in a fast-paced, preferably construction or hospitality environment.**This opportunity may be ideal if you worked before in a HR standalone role, are used to switch between priorities, operate at different levels and you are keen to be part of a team where you can grow, learn and build on your experience.

In this diverse role, no two days are the same and you will need an agile approach and willingness to jump from transactional, administration tasks to partnering, to process building and much more.


You will make a real difference in strengthening our culture by providing professional, accurate advice to colleagues and people managers, ensuring the highest level of employee experience.

The People and Culture Partner position is a true generalist role, demanding stellar organisation skills, efficiency and personality because you will lead on all aspects of Employee Relations (ER), creating and delivering training solutions across the organisation and working with the Head of People and Culture to develop and deliver engagement initiatives to support with colleagues retention.


Main Objectives of the role
- directly contributing to our people strategy and supporting the development of our people by creating training plans, facilitating trainings and building relationships with third-party training providers
- coach and train People Managers to build people management capabilities, increase retention and reduce staff turnover rates, whilst increasing the diversity of the team and female representation in operations
- strengthening our company culture and colleague experience, you are accountable for the successful delivery of operational people processes, ensuring alignment with the company's policies, the commercial plan and functional people strategy
- acting as first point of contact for colleagues and People Managers for all people-related enquiries and effectively leading all ER, performance and absence management, flexible working and talent management, in line with legislation
- keeping up to date with changes in employment legislation/ best practice to advise managers competently, providing guidance on process, attending associated meetings and putting together ER outcome letters
- drive wellbeing, diversity & belonging and employee engagement activities, whilst supporting on social value initiatives in line with our contractual client commitments
- handling changes of employment terms and conditions, communicating changes to all relevant parties and maintaining accurate records
- managing all transactional processes across the employee lifecycle such as creating offer letters and contracts, onboarding new employees, conduct Right to Work checks, reference letters, probation reviews, offboarding paper-work and so on
- ensuring that all new employees are kept in touch with, doing site visits to collect feedback and follow up as needed, highlighting emerging trends that may require senior stakeholders input
- as people software specialist, maintain timely and accurate workforce data records, ensure the provision of accurate information to Payroll and driving initiatives to grow colleagues' engagement with our people software(s)
- putting together reports for senior stakeholders and conducting workforce data analysis to establish trends, highlighting and driving improvements
- supporting on any recruitment-related activities when required, by handling transactional recruitment and attending career fairs and other recruitment events, showcasing PiLON's opportunities and growing our employer brand exposure


Do you have what it takes?
- minimum 4 years' experience in a People and Culture generalist or People Advisor role
- sound, proven employee relations experience with strong understanding of UK employment and ER legislation
- ability to execute employee engagement initiatives with excellence in a dynamic, collaborative environment, with creativity and a continuous improvement mindset
- comfortable working with ambiguity and at the pace of a scale-up environment, where creative skills are required to create something from nothing
- exceptional stakeholder management/ business partnering skills with the ability to naturally build rapport with anyone
- approachable, with warm and positive personality but also confident and assertive when needed
- positive, pro-active, solution-oriented, team player with keen eye for detail and efficiency driven
- ability to use people reporting and analytics
