(inside IR35)

Hourly pay rate:
£14.32 Paye / £18.15 Umbrella (Non-Competent)
£15.09 Paye / £19.08 Umbrella (Competent)

Shift Pattern:
(Panama shift, perm nights) 5 nights on, 2 off, 3 nights on, 2 off, 2 nights on, 3 off, 4 nights on, 7 off.

Shift: 21:00 - 06:00

Hours per week: 50

Position Summary:
As a Prep Technician you will be working on a live rail depot on the Class 378 Electrostar fleet.

Your job role will be varied duties and task will include:


  • Train Preparations
  • Maintenance of units during preparation
  • Basic unit data downloads
  • General inspection of the fleet
  • Depot DP duties.
  • Depot Driving duties.

Person Profile/Experience:
Experience in vehicle body repairs from prep to paint is required


The ideal person will:

  • Have Mechanical experience
  • Be reliable with timekeeping & willing to work overtime when required.
  • Good communication.
  • Basic Computer literacy.
  • Full UK Drivers licence
