Location:

Salary Guide:
£45,000 - £55,000 pa

Our medical device manufacturing client based in Harlow, Essex is looking to recruit a Management Accountant & Business Partner to work closely with the Head of Finance (HOF) on all aspects of reporting and business performance.
Performance Measures:
- Monthly management accounts, both to Group & Internally, to agreed timescales
- Variance analysis and commentary around performance
- Present proactive and meaningful financial analysis to key stakeholders in the business
- Create a real and active partnership with both operations and management
- Support the financial planning process (rolling forecast, quarterly and yearly budget)
- Monitoring and reporting of KPI data
- Process review and improvement
- Lead Financial audit and preparation of Statutory accounts
- Cover for the Head of Finance
Key Tasks:
- Ownership of monthend close
- Monthly, Halfyear & Annual Group reporting for the two UK entities
- Production of Management accounts for the local management team
- Spearhead Product & Service margin monitoring. Identify causes of variations between standard and performance results to support operational and strategic decision making across the business
- Work closely with the budget holders to review performance and variances, and support them to manage costs and make decisions
- Cover for daily sales reporting verses forecast
- Balance sheet reconciliations, highlighting any deviations
- Cashflow budgeting, forecasting and planning
- Control of CAPEX process in line with Group controls
- Ownership of quarterly VAT returns
- Prepare and submit information to statutory authorities including HMRC and other government
- Support HOF with the development and monitoring of the Internal control System (ICS)
- Participate in process improvement promoting consistency, timeliness, and accuracy
- Work closely with the HOF to produce the annual budget and forecasts
- Direct contact and support for financial audit
- Assist with the supervision of the Finance team and monitoring workload
