_A Document Control role with a difference._ This brand new role, within one of the most innovative and brand led Property Development companies in Europe, has been developed to ensure smooth running of various stages of the construction process, from acquisition to disposal. You will be a pivotal point of contact during this process and therefore your passion to organise, manage and deliver timely, will be important.


Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer you will manage and control all relevant documentation relating to the completed built assets.

Unlike typical Document Control on a construction project, the objective here is to create, populate and keep up to date a system containing the final copies of all documentation relevant to the completed buildings such that the team have real time access for ongoing management of the building and also have key information to hand for use in the due diligence process that is carried out by others when going through the sale of a completed assets.


This role will involve pursuing from a variety of parties and storing not only design information but all consultant appointments, warranties, planning approvals, building control approvals, certification of all types, and a variety of other documentation.

This documentation will need to be sourced from a variety of organisations both internal and external to the business and regularly updated as items such as Consultants PII certificates expire etc.

The successful individual will also be an important part of the process during the disposal phase of each of our assets and take the lead on the document management process with our prospective Purchasers.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Manage the set up and management of Project document control to ensure the required information is available on Completion and at key stages of the project e.g. more limited data pack will be required for Funding process which will take place in the early stages of the programme.
  • Liaise with internal and external project teams & all associated with the project to ensure they have a full understanding of the documents required to be produced and provided and by when.
  • Manage the document control system such that all documentation is stored efficiently and can be accessed and referenced at all times.
  • Work to continuously improve and enhance procedures and systems utilised for document control/storage.
  • Seek provision of documentation from the relevant parties and bring any deficiencies in provision to the attention of the project development Manager (who will assist)

Qualifications:


  • Ideally a construction related background/qualification.

Experience:

  • A broad knowledge of the Construction and development process
  • A good understanding of IT systems
  • An ability to work collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the business.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a determination to succeed in achieving the objective.
  • Commitment to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning and organisation skills, accurateness & diligence.
