Are you passionate about education and innovation in teaching and learning? Do you have a drive for excellence in teaching and learning? Reaseheath College is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Head of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation.


As the Head of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students, supporting practitioners to drive forward innovation in teaching methods and curriculum design.

Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that Reaseheath College remains at the leading edge of excellence in education and prepares our students to become career ready.


Key Responsibilities:
Support the Assistant Principal - Performance & Progress in the leadership and co-ordination of key quality improvement mechanisms including:

  • Quality improvement of teaching, learning and assessment across the college;
  • Raising the profile and presence of the quality function across the College;
  • The implementation of performance management processes;
  • CPD and teacher training programmes to enable consistency in assessment and Quality in delivering teaching and learning;
  • Leading the TLCs to effectively promote teaching, learning and assessment techniques, keeping in line with national changes to ensure a leadingedge high quality provision;
  • Providing excellent leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the Teaching and Learning Strategy, driven by a comprehensive programme of quality improvement activity and;
  • Working with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the College delivers provision of high quality. This will include the management of the Learning and Professional Development Team (LaPD), which includes the Teaching & Learning Coaches (TLCs), Digital Team, the Library Team and Initial Teacher Education.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline and current relevant post 16 educational experience.
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of effective teaching and learning methodologies and current best practice innovations.
  • Experience and knowledge of library resource management.
  • Knowledge of digital pedagogy.
  • Experience of delivering and/or coordinating staff training programmes.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of External quality control and assurance processes linked to Ofsted.
