Our client is a global organisation who are looking for a Senior Construction Manager based out the Midlands site. Our client is a global construction organisation who are working on a major project in the UK.


In this role you will be reporting to the senior manager to coordinate all piling activities, manage IPT relationships, providing early advice when needed and ensuring a smooth mobilisation to site.

As the Senior Construction Manager you will ensure aconsistent approach across all subplots.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Attend preconstruction workshops for all piling projects for Area North to provide construction advice.
  • Manage the customer relationship during preconstruction, including change and decision making to manage expectations.
  • Use scope and information to determine and agree rig and equipment requirements with the Project Manager for passing to the resource team including but not limited to:
  • Site specific plant requirements.
  • Site specific staff requirements
  • Ensure the SB3 procedures and policies are followed by the relevant teams, i.e. the Business Management System, including the Gated Lifecycle.
  • May manage or input into any post completion issues to maintain a positive customer relationship and repeat business performance levels.
  • Ensure effective records are maintained and kept for project delivery.
  • Report periodically to Senior Management on project progress, risks and issues using robust reporting systems to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ensuring rigorous monthly project improvement processes are in place.
  • Thorough implementation of planning, risk, project controls and change controls.
  • Implementation of Lean principles throughout the project to drive productivity, performance and safety.
  • Understand the relevant Contract terms and conditions
  • Live the SB3 Values
  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
  • Support the delivery of SB3 JV Partners Sustainability activities.
PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE.

  • The following qualities/experience are essential:
  • Previous experience in management on large scale projects within the construction industry
  • The ability to communicate effectively is required to manage customer relationships, in addition to strong planning and organisation skills to deliver operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Experience of leading teams, and confidence in the ability to lead, influence and communicate with others to deliver targets are required.
  • Project management awareness is required to deliver targets, with a desire to continuously improve safety and sustainability performance.
  • An appropriate and valid CSCS card is required.
  • The following qualities/experience are desirable:
  • Experience working for a piling, ground engineering or civils subcontractor.
  • Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent preferable.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS
