The Opportunity - Electrical Design Engineer:

Working as part of the Engineering Department to develop the electrical design for Marine and Industrial diesel generating set control systems and associated equipment.

This includes taking on board full design and manufacture contracts ranging from basickey start/push button control panels through to multi bay switch boards and paralleling panels.

Responsibilities - Electrical Design Engineer:

• Work from sales specifications to produce detailed design.
• Work closely with consultants/M&E contractors to ascertain full design constraints/requirements.
• Produce design schematics for customer approval and production build. (AutoCAD)
• Source relevant components and equipment to produce Bill of Materials using SAGE software. (In conjunction with the Purchasing Department)
• Work closely with the production to ensure correct interface of design.
• Produce detailed test specifications for customer witness test.
• Assisting Test Engineers as required.
• Produce Technical Documentation as part of the O&M Manuals for the equipment.
• Some UK and Overseas travel

Person Specification - Electrical Design Engineer:

• Proven & relevant design experience, background & skillset.
• Strong electrical knowledge and understanding.
• Attention to detail & clear communication skills.
• Good work ethic and ability to work well with others.

The Electrical Design Engineer reports directly to the Operations Director and may be requested to complete tasks as deemed relevant, not mentioned within the above bullet points.
