Job summary
We're supporting a global engineering organisation at their Darlington site with the hire of two experienced Product Design Engineering Product Specialists (Mechanical CAD) to support ongoing and future engine programmes.This is a product-focused mechanical design role suited to engineers who enjoy owning complex components or systems end-to-end and working closely with manufacturing suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Lead component and subsystem design from concept through to design release
- Own present design intent through formal reviews
- Drive decision-making concept selection optimisation
- Apply lead use of tools processes such as iDFMEA DVA GD&T Creo ANSYS Work closely manufacturing suppliers cross-functional stakeholders Provide technical leadership on complex components smaller projects ambiguity Support continuous improvement of processes standards Mentor support junior engineers technicians where required Proven ownership engine systems engine components Strong 3D CAD capability Creo essential Solid mechanical analysis experience component system level Ability independently internal external stakeholders Background in mechanical product within complex environment Recent ICE experience Experience Windchill PLM Degree-qualified Mechanical similar Background operating Senior Lead Engineer level Decision-making problem-solving capability Comfortable managing complexity competing technical requirements Clear confident communicator builds working relationships Work high-value technically complex programmes Hybrid aligned flexible model Strong chance contract extension initial term Opportunity operate specialist not just jockey Hands-on engineer enjoys ownership depth real challenges this well worth conversation For information Jamie The ONE Group's Engineering Manufacturing Division by Phone Mobile Email Recruitment should
