Description

If you are a passionate, resilient and enthusiastic Mental Health Social Worker looking for your next role, we'd love to hear from you.

The role available is based in East London and starts on 25/04/2024.

You will be working with vulnerable individuals who have social needs as a result of a mental health condition, exclusion or diminished capacity.

You'll be responsible for undertaking assessments of risk involving safeguarding of vulnerable people due to mental health difficulties as well as promoting autonomy and development in individuals who have social care needs.

You'll also have experience of formulating care plans and contributing your specialist opinion.

You'll be used to working with communities, individuals and families to promote their personal strengths, and adept at preventing escalations in need.

Your focus will be on enhancing independence and wellbeing, and you will be competent in intervening to provide help for individuals whose mental health needs or risks indicate a requirement for professional support.

You'll be experienced in managing a varied and complex caseload, as well as providing case management and expert advice to local care staff.

Finally, you should have good working knowledge of legislation (Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983 (and 2007 amendments, Mental Capacity Act 2005), alongside a relevant professional qualification eg DipSW, CQSW, BASW.
