CMA HR Division is delighted to be working with a key employer in the Portchester area to secure a Payroll Offer to join a successfully HR Team, reporting into the HR Director you will be responsible for processing monthly payroll for around 450 UK staff.
What will the Payroll Officer role involve?
- The management of the monthly UK payrolls for 450 staff ensuring strict adherence to deadlines;
- The in house liaison and administration of the pension schemes including auto enrolment processing and letters, employee pension requests and annual pension assessment for the company scheme;
- Provide training and ongoing support to Line Managers for the time and attendance system;
- Providing inhouse training on the computerised Payroll system;
- Development of Payroll related procedures;
- Liaising with staff and management on Payroll related issues;
- Payroll administration including processing starters and leavers for payroll, SSP, SMP, overtime, ad hoc payments, reward and termination payments;
- Administer holiday purchase and voluntary unpaid leave (VULA) schemes;
- Calculate and process entitlements and shutdown/bank holidays on the time and attendance system;
- Process relevant administration at tax year end including P11Ds, P60s and Gender Pay gap reporting;
- HMRC reporting.
- Proven experience of UK payrolls;
- Up to date legislation knowledge.

- Although office based the business operates a compressed working week into 4.5 days Mon to Thurs 7.45am to 4.45pm and Friday 7.45am to 12.45pm;
