JOB DETAILS:

Michelle Denny Recruitment is partnering with the UK's leading water softener manufacturer Monarch Water.

With their HQ located in Diss, Norfolk we are looking to find an accomplished, technically able leader to take the role of Head of Technical Service.

The salary package includes a car and annual bonus and will be discussed in full during our first conversation.


Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for managing the team of technical service professionals and ensure that customers receive the best possible technical support.


We have a full job brief to share, but here is a snapshot detailing the key areas of responsibility:

  • Develop a solid Monarch technical product knowledge base and be the focal point of contact for your team for all service-related matters
  • Drive the Service Department's revenue, developing and implementing a strategy for profit and growth, staying up to date with industry trends
  • Manage, support and motivate of your Field Service and Internal Service Teams, including performance appraisals and regular review sessions
  • Creation of a series of FAQ to empower the Service team to resolve customer minor tech questions when taking calls
  • Improve first visit fixes and reduce warranty call outs & engineer lead times
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and the wider Group to influence growth and best practices, identifying areas for improvement across all business areas

Key personal requirements:


  • Essentially, a background within technical service management, with a good mechanical technical understanding
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills with the ability to communicate plans and challenge the status quo effectively
  • Desire to exceed targets balanced with providing a great customer centred experience
  • And of course. friendly with a sense of humour
