Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a new
People Advisor to join our People Team at
Cambridge Education Group


The role is on a
full-time, permanent basis with the location either in
Cambridge or Newcastle, United Kingdom (depending on your availability and/or preference).

All of our People Team are currently based within in our Cambridge office, therefore if you are based in Newcastle, we would ask you to make regular trips to the Cambridge office.

This will be at least four times per year to join us in our People Team meetings, and more regularly to begin with to support training.


The role of
People Advisor will support the
People Partnering team by providing HR advice to managers and team members across Cambridge Education Group, with a focus on their key area of the business.

This will involve working closely with managers and team members to provide professional, high quality customer focused HR advice, guidance and support.

As a People Advisor your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting line managers regarding employment practises and interpretation of policy by coaching, advising and guiding.
  • Managing employee relation issues in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Analysing HR reports and drives HR KPI improvements.
  • Auditing employee records and ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assisting with the pay review & bonus process for the designated area.
  • Supporting to ensure compliance with relevant UK and international employment laws and regulations, staying up to date and current with changes, proactively escalating any risks or issues and supports with solutions to mitigate them.
  • Developing and delivering learning and development sessions regarding people management practices.
  • Maintains first class customer service practises and satisfaction levels with internal customers and external customers.
  • Administers correspondence, information requests in an efficient and timely manner.

Aspects we will be looking for:

  • Experience providing professional, pragmatic HR advice and support on employee relations issues.
  • Experience advising managers and team members on HR matters.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, evolving company.
  • Excellent ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Good numeracy skills and ability to understand data and information quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; confident to liaise with people at all levels.
  • Selfmotivated, driven, able to work on own initiative to prioritise own workloads effectively with mínimal supervision.
  • Effective problem solving skills.
  • CIPD accreditation (Desirable)
  • Degree or equivalent (Desirable)
