**Data Governance Analyst

London

- £60,000**A well-established investment management company are looking for an experienced Data Governance Analyst to join their growing Enterprise Data Management team. You will be working within Azure Cloud gaining exposure to tools such as Azure Data Bricks andPyspark.

The focus of the role is the implementation and adoption of data management tools and practices. You will define, maintain and embed a suite of data catalogues (meta-data management) into the business.

You will be working with SMEs to define business glossariesand link terms to critical data elements, and embedding various data quality and data lineage tools more broadly.

Role & Responsibilities

Complete the Business analysis, data analysis (including data modelling) and lead/support the implementation of data governance practices on wider projects, team initiatives and BAU activities.
Support the Data Engineers and Analysts in the Data & Analytics team to understand the data before consuming it into the Data Platform and ensure data governance best practice are being used.
Review existing business processes and perform data analysis, with Data Owners and their Specialists and jointly seek ways to improve the way in which data is governed.
Working in an agile Scrum based project delivery model, supporting the delivery of the data governance features required of our new data platform.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience working in a data governance or data management role.
Experience with data governance tools and frameworks in areas such as: data quality, master data management, metadata / data catalogues, data lineage, data modelling, control assessments etc.
Experience working with SQL
