Description

We are a long-established training provider based in Hammersmith delivering programmes to employed and unemployed learners under GLA and European Social Fund Contracts in West London and Thames Valley Berkshire.


We have an opportunity for a suitably experienced person to work as a tutor to deliver effective employability and progression support for our learners, enabling them to achieve a positive progression - particularly into employment, apprenticeship, traineeship or further learning.


  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grades A-C or 4-9)
  • Good time management and diary management skills
  • An ability to write and develop high quality CVs for learners
  • An ability to deliver high quality IAG to learners from initial contact through to progression
  • To have empathy with our client base
  • To provide quality careers/employability and other progression support and embedded information, advice and guidance to learners
  • To coordinate interviews/employer visits with learners and follow up
  • To implement strategies and support learners in self-esteem and confidence building activities
  • To draw up agreed action plans with learners and monitor progress
  • To maintain up to date records of interventions delivered and the outcomes from such interventions
  • To liaise with and report progressions to our internal team and external stakeholders (eg Jobcentre Plus)
  • To ensure records of support provided are maintained
  • To devise and deliver internal training sessions to meet identified needs - in particular employability skills and interview preparation (general and specific)
  • To work with the jobsearch team and Business Development Manager to develop and maintain excellent and trusted relationships with employers
  • To communicate effectively with our jobsearch team and Business Development Manager
  • To communicate effectively with colleagues and ensure continuity of service to key stakeholders
  • To maintain awareness of the local employment market and work with the Business Development Manager and jobsearch team to source suitable vacancies
  • To comply with company procedures
  • To attend and participate in team meetings as requested
  • To respect confidentiality of service users and key stakeholders.
  • To take every opportunity to promote our services to potential customers using marketing material wherever possible.
  • To undertake any reasonable tasks and duties consistent with the position that are requested

Salary:
From £28,000.00 per year
