Description
Fitzrovia Hospital is a new hospital located at Fitzroy Square. It is an acute independent hospital with full diagnostic facilities, operating theatres, and clinical trials unit.


The hospital includes an auditorium/ lecture room,10 inpatient private rooms, 4 bedded recovery unit, 2 fully equipped theatres and treatment rooms.

The Hospital is approved for overnight stay, general anaesthesia, including TIVA, and intravenous sedation, endoscopy, and laser treatment.

A variety of surgical procedures are performed, including orthopaedics, cosmetic surgery, ophthalmic, gynaecology, urology, and endoscopies (various).


Non-Medical Staff are an integral part of the team and support the delivery of clinical care by ensuring the service is a clean, safe and attractive place, conducive to patient care.

Housekeepers/Cleaners coordinate a range of services including cleaning and maintaining the environment and equipment.


The post holder will be part of the housekeeping team who provide facility services to the users of the building, from lessees, licence holders and patients.

They will provide and contribute to the effective running of all ancillary services throughout the building.

Previous experience working in the healthcare required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Hospital floors and surfaces using predefined cleaning methods and procedures
  • Mix appropriate quantities of cleaning liquids and chemicals in accordance with safety regulations
  • Dust, mop and sweep patients' room, treatment rooms and administrative offices
  • Make beds using clean and disinfected linen and replenish supplies such as towels, blankets, soap, and antibacterial gels.
  • Clean and disinfect patient bathroom and public restrooms
  • Clean mirrors and windows along with polishing fittings and fixtures
  • Distribute clean linen and hospital / surgical gowns to appropriate floor
  • Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper compaction of clinical waste according to hospital policies
  • Inform Facilities Manager of any cleaning equipment that may need repair or replacement
  • Inform Facilities Manager about any health and safety hazards and assist in addressing it
  • Maintain a clean and organised storage area for cleaning equipment and supplies.
