Description

Your role will involve:

  • Developing and maintaining an indepth knowledge of the communities neighbouring the airport, identifying their key issues, ensuring that our engagement plans take account of their needs and that communities' feedback is captured and shared internally.
  • Supporting the operational delivery of the Community Relations Helpdesk, working as a team to answer queries and provide information ensuring we deliver high quality customer service.
  • Maintaining an overview of all community engagement communications channels, supporting on the production and distribution of regular clear and accessible communications materials including both hard copy and digital communications.
  • Providing administrative support for Heathrow's regular programme of Community Engagement forums and support the delivery of monthly and quarterly reports on community issues.
  • Supporting the delivery of digital and social media communications; ensuring website content is both engaging and accessible.

These skills are essential:

  • Experience of a collaborative approach and team working within a large organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent written and oral communication skills and a demonstrable ability to simplify complex issues accurately and to write inclusively for all stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and a completer/finisher mindset.
  • Experience of designing and developing innovative and interactive engagement and communications tools and activities.
  • The ability to translate technical information into simple key messages.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Heathrow's available communication channels used to achieve twoway communication with communities, including traditional, digital and social.
