AFRUCA - Safeguarding Children is a national charity promoting the safeguarding and well-being of children in Black and Ethnic communities.
The post holder will be a registered Therapist using integrative approaches and play therapy to work with children and their parents.
They will provide culturally appropriate therapeutic support for Black children in foster care who are being reunified with their birth families.
This will help them readjust, build their emotional well-being, rebuild trust, emotional bond and attachment with their birth parents.The aim is to strengthen the process of reunification with less likelihood of abuse recurring and less likelihood of them returning into foster care.
This position will require minor travel to work with families although most sessions will take place either at our office or virtually.
Benefits include 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 5% pension contributions and regular practice supervision.
