Intro

S&P Recruitment is looking to recruit a skilled/experienced Bench Hand Joiner on behalf of a retail design & fit client who is really busy and looking to add to their existing joinery team on a short-term basis of 4-5 weeks to help deliver a number of projects.

That said, for the right person this role could go on longer term and even become permanent.

Our client is an established SME contract retail design & fit manufacturer.

They design, develop and manufacture their own bespoke equipment for the retail and leisure sectors, and have a large well-established customer base throughout the UK.

They pride themselves on a professional and friendly service from the moment initial contact is made, through project design and execution.

About the job

Ideally, you will have several years of bench hand joinery experience within a retail design & fit or furniture environment.

5+ years of bench hand joinery experience.
Able to interpret CAD drawings.
An understanding of all aspects of Joinery.
Able to interpret cutting sheets.
Thorough material knowledge such as solid timber, sheet materials, laminates and solid surfaces.
Experience in using other materials such as Corian or Parapan would be advantageous but not essential.
Minimum Level 2 Joinery Qualification.
Experience with using a variety of Hand Tools.

Salary of £12.50 to £14.00ph DOE.
Core hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday with overtime always available.
Overtime paid at Time & Half and often available through the week and at weekends.
