Ipeco Holdings Limited was founded in 1960. More than 50 years on it is still a privately owned UK company. We are engaged in the design, development, manufacture and test of niche products for the aerospace and defence industries.

Principal products include aircraft crew seating, executive passenger seating, galley inserts, salt bath brazed chassis and electronic power management systems.


Ipeco operates across a wide range of market sectors and is always seeking new staff in a variety of disciplines - from machining and assembly to commercial, technical and administration.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To program, set and manufacture small-batch aerospace components.


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Responsible for setting/operating and manufacturing a variety of smallbatch components from engineering drawings to within tight limits,
  • Responsible for manufacturing all components within the agreed timescales,
  • Responsible for setting a variety of CNC machine tools for operators as and when required,
  • Responsible for using a wide range of measuring equipment to check smallbatch components after manufacture,
  • Responsible for mentoring new staff as required,
  • Responsible for maintaining the agreed quality rating at all times,
  • Responsible for making sure that manufactured product is suitably protected for transit,
  • Responsible for working in the order of the manufacturing plan at all times,
  • Responsible for making sure that all manufacturing paper work is filled out correctly,
  • Responsible for carrying out all tasks allocated by the Team Leader in a timely and efficient manner,
  • Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times,
  • To support team members with other tasks as and when required,
  • To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health & Safety procedures,
  • To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Extensive CNC Milling experience
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, set CNC Milling machines and use measuring equipment
  • Works using Metric and Imperial
  • Computer literate and methodical
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:


  • English, Maths & Science GCSE, (or equivalent) at grade C or above
  • Apprenticeship served
  • Programming training courses
  • Experience in Aerospace Industry
  • Mazak CNC Machining Centre experience
  • Ability to edit programs

Pay:
Up to £17.72 per hour
