Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced, qualified and passionate Beauty Therapy assessor to join the team at our academy for learners aged 16+ studying Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Professionals (Beauty Therapist) and Level 3 Standards Advanced Beauty Therapist apprenticeships.

The successful individual will be flexible, empathetic and reliable: a team-player with excellent communication skills.


Responsibilities include:


  • Supporting students through to the successful conclusion of their chosen training programme
  • Teaching occupational skills to students
  • Assessing students for competence in their qualification as required by the awarding body
  • Ensuring students complete their training programme on target as agreed with the Prime Provider, employer and student, as detailed on the Individual Learning Plan
  • Agreeing an individual training programme with each student, and monitoring this to ensure that the student is working to the targets agreed
  • Training (or arranging training) for students to ensure they have sufficient competence to successfully complete their training programme
  • Using appropriate lesson plans for teaching as determined by the Prime Provider
  • Identifying and addressing gaps in achievement
  • Maintaining a record of progress and achievement for each student
  • Giving constructive feedback on achievement and performance to students
  • Meeting regularly for standardisation and training with other Assessors and/or Internal Verifiers.

Education

Essential:

  • Beauty Therapy Level 3 related qualifications
  • Assessing qualification
  • Knowledge of apprenticeships

Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years industry experience
  • Experience of working in a salon environment
  • Experience in a role working towards targets, prioritising workloads and meeting strict deadlines

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in an educational setting
  • Experience of working directly in a FE setting
  • Experience of planning, delivering and leading taught sessions both practically and classroom based

Part-time

Part-time hours: 8-16 per week

From £12.00 per hour
