  • Are you looking for a company you can grow with? At Algeco we _pride ourselves on developing colleagues and promoting from within_ which means this could not only be your next job, but the _start of a whole new career journey_."_

PURPOSE

As Learning and Development Advisor at Algeco, you'll work in partnership with the HR & L&D Partner to deliver proactive talent programmes which take our colleague learning experiences to the next level.

You'll play a key part in all things relating to talent and learning, and as our roles span from the shop floor to the boardroom you'll gain great exposure to how L&D can really add value to a growing business.

WHAT WE DO
Algeco is the leader in modular accommodation, not only in the UK but around the world.

We provide more buildings for hire than anyone else, including modular buildings for sale and rent, and off-site permanent buildings for sale for temporary, semi-permanent and permanent use.

As part of the Modulaire Group we have 300,000 units available in 18 countries throughout Europe, including the UK. We're also active in Australia, New Zealand and China.

So, when you join us, you're joining a team that is already established in delivering for our customers, is highly successful - and is hungry to do more in delivering for our colleagues, customers and partners.

YOU PROBABLY WANT TO KNOW WHATS INVOLVED

A critical component in our colleague journey is bringing talented new colleagues in right at the start of their career journeys.

You'll play a key role in this, leading on the apprentice agenda, including:

  • Overseeing the management of the apprenticeship digital account, and maximising the use of the apprenticeship levy. (We regularly use 100% of our levy, ensuring we maximising the value we're able to offering our colleagues.)
  • Support with apprentice recruitment and enrolment with colleges
  • Working with managers and apprentices to ensure all enrolment documentation is complete

Great talent planning needs more than one person, and our managers need your support to contribute to the developing the talent planning process through identifying skills gaps and working with the wider team, and across the business, to advise on development programmes.

We aim to use digital channels for our colleague interactions wherever we can (providing it's the best option), and learning is no different.

You'll have full control of our online learning platform, Modulearn, where you'll get to select, curate and create the content available to our colleagues and ensuring all colleagues have access to the system.

We like to know how we're performing, and you'll play a key role in ensuring we know how successful our learning efforts are, producing metrics which show our progress, and working closely with our Operations Trainer to ensure we're providing full value where it comes to operations training for our colleagues.

WHAT EXPERIENCE WE NEED FROM YOU

More than anything, we're looking for somebody with a passion for lifelong learning who can help us to give every opportunity to our colleagues in order to enable their growth.

We're a close knit business and in order to be truly effective you'll have to rely upon your communication skills, getting to know people across all of our functions and locations in order to understand what we do, and what learning will make a difference.

This role can be incredibly rewarding when you see the smile as a colleague completes their apprenticeship/NVQ and you know you've had a part to play.

There can also be tougher times when the work required to make those magic moments happen requires everyone to muck in.

Your organisation skills will allow you to keep on top of what's required to keep those magic moments occurring, and your confidence will allow you to speak up when others need to get involved to keep the wheels in motion.

We use a few different systems in our business and you'll need to be comfortable using a wide range of systems (if you're happy to use most websites and have a grasp of PowerPoint, Excel and Word then you'll be fine).

Our environments are operational, and with Forklift Trucks moving around and units being lifted by crane, the safety of our colleagues has to be our number one priority.

With this in mind, if you've experience in an operational environment or within an environment where health and safety is a real priority, this will be an advantage for you.

WE CARE
At Algeco, we respect and value differences and are passionate about our people, our customers and the planet. We nurture an environment where all differences are valued, practices are equitable and everyone experiences a sense of belonging. We are committed
