Purpose of Role:
The Capital Markets Specialist will be primarily responsible for supporting Execution Services, assisting internal Sales and Distribution teams and external end-clients with execution support, liquidity and trading analyses offering best-in-class service.
In addition, the Capital Markets Specialist will be responsible for researching and developing project-driven initiatives, creating thought leadership on execution and market structure topics, and fielding business inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Support the provision of Execution Services support to internal and external stakeholders working as part of the wider EMEA Capital Markets group
- Drive expansion of coverage of endclient accounts assessing needs of SPDR business, identifying partnership opportunities, and establishing strategic account plans
- Assist in projects and working groups related to market structure advocacy and ETF ecosystem improvements
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to drive business outcomes and deliver on Objectives and Key Results for the EMEA ETF business
- Deliver risk excellence and support the business as a whole through internal and external relationship development
- Collaborate with teams across SSGA and other State Street business divisions to maximize Authorised Participants, market makers and endclient relationships
- Facilitate an understanding of the EMEA SPDR business and its strategy and priorities across key internal partners

- Assist clients with trading and liquidity related queries, including preand posttrade analysis, Due Diligence Questionnaires and pricing indications
- Work with Execution Services Senior Lead to develop an endtoend client coverage model strategy
- Produce trading and liquidity reports with a heavy emphasis on data analysis and visualizations in regular reporting
- Analyse market structure developments and changes to assist wider SPDR business strategy

- ETF Sales and Trading, Equity Portfolio Sales and Trading, FICC Sales and Trading, and where applicable, Equity Derivative Sales and Trading, Prime Brokerage and Securities Lending

Your Ideal experience:
- Business analyst or strategy/planning background, which includes setting strategy, defining priorities, and measuring success
- Exposure to sales/trading securities industry, preferably from large financial institution; you have strong understating of the dynamics that drive capital markets
- Very proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- You should have the aptitude to think and act globally, harmonizing global, regional and local objectives. A developed sense of judgment and the ability to balance business needs in an objective and practical way is critical
Personal Profile:
- Bachelor's degree of Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a similar field
- 35 years of experience in the financial services industry ETF Trading and pricing, market making, risk management/ liquidity
- Knowledge of ETF mechanics create/redeem process, fees, ETF clearing and settlement operations, custody
- Background experience in the ETF/project management
