Buyer - Construction (Facades)
Working amongst a team of buyers in the Purchasing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring that the materials required for construction projects are provided to schedule according to projected budgets.
Industry but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Obtaining quotations & negotiating rates
- Placing purchase orders
- Identify & source potential new suppliers and products
- Producing budgets and procurement schedules for projects
- Keeping detailed records & maintaining a wellorganised schedule
- Driven by KPI's and savings
- Assessing the reliability of suppliers & involvement of vendor delivery performance
- Closely monitor and report delivery schedules to and from sites
- Work closely with site, suppliers, and internal departments
- Processing of purchase invoices, credit notes & dealing with disputes
- Updating pricing and general housekeeping on inhouse computer systems
What the employer is looking for:
- Minimum 2 years purchasing experience is desirable
- Good commercial awareness
- A team player with a 'can do' attitude
- Methodical, organised, flexible and able to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel
- Able to work collaboratively with internal & external stakeholders

- Salary: £30K £40K dependant on experience + benefits
