Working amongst a team of buyers in the Purchasing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring that the materials required for construction projects are provided to schedule according to projected budgets.

• Obtaining quotations & negotiating rates
• Placing purchase orders
• Identify & source potential new suppliers and products
• Producing budgets and procurement schedules for projects
• Keeping detailed records & maintaining a wellorganised schedule
• Driven by KPI's and savings
• Assessing the reliability of suppliers & involvement of vendor delivery performance
• Closely monitor and report delivery schedules to and from sites
• Work closely with site, suppliers, and internal departments
• Processing of purchase invoices, credit notes & dealing with disputes
• Updating pricing and general housekeeping on inhouse computer systems

• Minimum 2 years purchasing experience is desirable
• Good commercial awareness
• A team player with a 'can do' attitude
• Methodical, organised, flexible and able to work under pressure
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel
• Able to work collaboratively with internal & external stakeholders

• Salary: £30K £40K dependant on experience + benefits
• 25 days annual leave, excluding bank holidays
• Great office environment
• Work hours: 8:30am 5:00pm
