The London EDITION is looking for its next Level 2 Engineering Apprentice

LEVEL 2 FACILITIES SERVICES OPERATOR APPRENTICESHIP


Develop skills as a Facilities Services Operative (FSO) - a broad role in providing facilities services support to customers and Facilities Management departments.

You'll learn how to support a wide range of functions - from maintenance and engineering to cleaning and reception.

You'll also be an affiliate member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) during and after the programme.

Entry requirements

  • You'll need to meet these requirements:
  • A good level of English and Maths
  • Resident in the UK/EEA/EU for the last 3 years
  • Meet module requirements through your employment in a relevant job role
You'll also need to achieve these separate qualifications before or during the course to complete the programme.

Level 1 English and Maths Functional Skills

As an apprentice, you take 6 hours per week of your time at work to complete off-the-job training.

It's an innovative way for businesses to gain a multi-skilled workforce - you'll be able to bring sector insights and the latest knowledge into your organisation.

Ideal for


People who would like to develop their career in facilities management (FM) - which is defined by the International Organisation for Standardisation as the 'organisational function which integrates people, place and process within the built environment with the purpose of improving the quality of life of people and the productivity of the core business'.


You'll explore 'hard' Facilities Management functions including (but not limited to) maintenance and engineering - plus 'soft' functions like cleaning, reception, post-room, concierge services and security.

You'll understand the importance of health and safety in the workplace - including the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).


You'll also explore Service Level Agreements (SLAs), contracts and performance of contractors, as well as trends in wellbeing, safety, safeguarding and sustainability requirements.
