Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Data Quality & Standards Officer, this is a new role that will work across both Barnet, Enfield and Haringey (BEH) and Camden and Islington (C and I) mental health trusts.

The postholder will provide guidance, access and educational activities pertaining to data quality and standards and ensure that electronically stored data used to support clinical and business decision-making is accurate, valid, reliable, complete, relevant and complies with data standards and that data quality is maintained.

They will undertake data quality and compliance audits and ensure plans are in place to address any weaknesses, non-compliance and issues with data quality associated with data quality.

The role is also responsible for preparing data or notifications ready for prompt and consistent submission to external organisations as required.

Lead on the promotion of data standards and quality
Develop effective working relationships with colleagues across the Trust to ensure any data created, edited, used or recorded on the Trust's systems and databases is accurate
Support the Trust in ensuring it adheres to national data standards requirements and legislation
Assist with the development of new data quality and standard policies
Work collaboratively to ensure data quality policies are reviewed, up to date and fit for purposed
Assist with the implementation and roll out of new data quality and data standards policies and monitoring adherence to policy and processes
Proactively implement communications, educational and training activities for stakeholders to improve data quality and appropriate use of data standards
Support the Analytics Team with data standards and compliance queries
Proactively implement activities to continuously monitor data quality and compliance and develop working practices for improvement
Develop and maintain in-depth specialist knowledge of national data standards to monitor and benchmark performance of data quality standards against national average, proactively identifying anomalies
Undertake the NHSEI Data Quality Audit annually
Work as an effective and integral member of the Analytics team, actively collaborating with staff and colleagues to drive forward data improvements
