Controls Engineer

Darlington

3 Shifts (7am - 3pm / 3pm - 11pm / 11pm - 7am)

£45, % Company Bonus


Company Profile:
I am looking for a motivated Controls Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company within the automotive industry.

This role will suit someone who is looking to utilise their skills to help keep a start of the art production facility maintainedto a high standard.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation.

With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employeesand their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers.


Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Significant work experience and indepth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
  • Providing support for the interface between MES and our PLC network.
  • Configuring OPC servers to add new MES stations to the system.
  • Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
  • Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan.
  • Must have knowledge of Siemens PLC's and be able to modify PLC programs and fault find using PLC software.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Engineering skills within Controls/PLC's/Automation/HMI's


  • HNC/HND/Degree

  • Engineering Related Discipline
  • Strong Electrical background
  • Worked previously within a manufacturing environment
  • Automotive Industry Background (Advantageous)
