Description

In this role you will be responsible for developing and delivering customer and category eCommerce growth plans, reporting into the UK Head of eCommerce.

You will need to leverage tactics such as digital shelf optimisation, the fast evolving retail media landscape and exploring innovative partnerships with third parties or retailers directly.

Arla has an ambitious Digital Business agenda and you'll be one of the main driving forces to deliver our growth ambitions.

You will also closely collaborate with our Global eCommerce Team and Digital Marketing team as well as eCommerce teams in other countries, sharing insights, innovations and best practices to rapidly accelerate growth in one of our top eTail accounts with an online Dairy turnover of c£330m.


  • Establish key points of contact and lead interface with retailer eCommerce & Commercial teams
  • Define & develop long, medium and short term plans to deliver eCommerce customer growth aligned to total UK Customer Plan / JBP
  • Negotiate & secure retailer data and support integration/processing into Arla tracking & systems
  • Establish effective ways of working internally and externally & build strong relationships
  • Overall Responsible for Customer Business Unit eCommerce targets. Tracking and reporting performance and optimising plans as required
  • Ensure best practice Product Description Pages and content ecosystem are in place, using retailer specific insights to optimise + tracking compliance
  • Superuser Responsibilities across key eCommerce reporting tools supporting effective and timely development & embedding incl Digital Shelf Analytics & Market data systems
  • Keeping close to eTailer strategy & plans and sharing with UK eCommerce team & wider business
  • Lead eCommerce Business and brand planning for aligned category ensuring outputs of eCommerce category/brand plans including NRM strategy
  • Support delivery of eCommerce category/brand plans and projects incl content, eCommerce NPD and eCommerce campaigns
  • Track and review category eCommerce performance, bringing insight back to the business and developing actions to drive Arla performance
  • Focus Group Responsibilities updates & utilising forum to follow through on key project action plans

What you'll need to succeed
Your track record reflects experience within commercial FMCG. You have experience working with multifunctional teams. You have business acumen and exceptional drive, and you are willing to go the extra mile to deliver results. You must have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, with the skills to collaborate and lead within a matrix team.

Among colleagues you are characterized as a great communicator, decision-maker with personal impact and a good deal of resilience, and excellent planning and organisational skills.


  • Demonstrable success in FMCG sales/category/customer marketing
  • Ability to influence at all levels
  • Understanding of the online customer journey for retailers
  • Experienced in commercial project management
  • Must bring entrepreneurial spirit with motivation and drive to be a selfstarter
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, should have the ability to work across functions within the business to gain support for eComm
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
