Description

Marcus Wareing Restaurants is on the hunt for a full time social media executive to join our marketing function, responsible for creating engaging short-form video content for both Instagram and TikTok.

Are you a TikTok native that lives and breathes video content? Do you love good food and wine?


Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will work closely together to develop ideas for our core content pillars, with the aim of growing our following and engagement while building brand awareness.


  • Developing, filming and editing social mediabased TikTok & Instagram Reel content (on phone)
  • Lead and grow our TikTok and social media engagement through regular, engaging and relevant content
  • Stay in the loop with constantly changing TikTok and social media trends, identifying opportunities when appropriate
  • Develop and execute social media content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter
Collaborate with Marketing Manager to ensure brand consistency

Work with Marketing Manager to review analytics, looking for areas of improvement


Entry requirements

  • GCSE grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths AND English is essential
  • Passionate foodie that loves to eat out
  • Proven experience in creating TikTok and Instagram social media content
  • Highly organised
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and how to create content that resonates with audiences
  • Positive attitude ability to get stuck in and hit the ground running
  • Confident, strong communicator ability to motivate people into helping with content where needed
  • Be proactive and creative in coming up with ideas and suggestions to shoot
  • Experience in social media performance reporting through platforms themselves, Google Analytics or other social tools

Training to be provided
You will undertake the ground-breaking Apprentify Content Creator Level 3 apprenticeship.


We have designed our programme to offer you a distinct route into your chosen career path and specialise in researching, preparing, and developing content to maximise audience engagement.

Content creators capture the strategy and objectives of the brand and needs of the customer, client or business.

During the 13 months of training, you will learn the most up to date theory and industry practices across 11 carefully structured Modules covering the duties that are required as a Content Creator:

  • Plan and develop creative content in line with the brief and budget/costs.
  • Interpret the strategy and objectives of the brand and align these to the content.
  • Research, prepare and develop the media messaging to maximise audience engagement.
  • Develop and create written content that can be used across a variety of media.
  • Create visual and audio content that can be used across a variety of media.
  • Store content securely and methodically to enable efficient access and retrieval
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to plan and align content delivery with business objectives.
  • Manage content online using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the content produced against the original plan and recommend improvements.
  • Undertake continuous professional development to keep uptodate with trends and technology.
