Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic applicant, to help support the administration of the Payroll team, you will be based within our busy Payroll Department ensuring the delivery of a high quality service to our work force and external organisations.


You will support the Payroll Team and Payroll Management ensuring all processes within the department is adhered to in a timely and accurate manner.


The post holder will support in the day to day administration and maintenance of Payroll, Pensions and Expenses records to safeguard an accurate and timely data approval and flow to ensure pay is accurate and timely.

Also to provide accurate information, on request, to Staff, Managers and external agents;
They will be required to work independently and as part of a Team.

The successful applicant should have a knowledge of the NHS and have good communication skills.

Applicants should have a keen eye for details and the ability to work accurately to specified deadlines and should be self-motivated, adaptable and be keen to develop their skills and knowledge.


Provide cover for the payroll team during periods of absence, including planning and organisation of own tasks to ensure payroll deadlines are met.

To respond to basic queries from staff and managers.

Uses spreadsheet and checking accuracy of the output prior to payroll processing.

To report any discrepancies, unusual features or queries to the appropriate person ensuring fraud protection.

To assist the payroll team with filing within the departments filing system.

To be willing to undertake additional duties as and when needed.

Any other duties deemed appropriate by Senior Officers, Team Leaders, and Managers.
