Glasgow, £27-32k, progression to £35k, 10% pension, training, development overtime, health plan, vehicle

We seek professional Plant Mechanic to install and maintain fire suppression systems on customer site across Scotland.

The role may suit ex military or fire service with experience in similar systems or confident plant fitters, mechanical or electrical engineers looking for a challenging role.

Full product training will be given, and the role involves working away on a regular but planned basis.


As the Mobile Plant Mechanic your role will include:
Travelling to customer sites to undertake, PPM, service, fault finding and repair of fire suppression systems used on plant equipment

Initially you will undertake mainly servicing work and progress onto installs and repairs as you become more familiar with the product range.

Working on interesting and complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
Working on plant equipment in a range of environments including waste sites, ports, recycling plants, construction sites and quarries.
Working in line with H & S standards.
Providing technical support to customers.
Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.


As the Mobile Plant Mechanic, you will:
Have knowledge of mechanical fitting, auto electrics, electrical wiring, pipe and hose fitting
Welding skills would be desirable but not essential.
Have the ability to work through fault finding logically and comprehensively.
Be conversant with the safe use of various hand held equipment and tools
Have basic IT skills including report writing.
Have a high level of attention to detail
Be able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Be able to read and interpret technical drawings
Work To Standard operating procedures
Understanding of quality systems
Hold a full ideally clean UK Driving License
Happy to work away from home on a regular basis
