Why this job is important

This role is a development opportunity for an enthusiastic finance specialist looking to combine their financial knowledge with technology within Kantar.

The ERP Functional Consultant will build strong product knowledge (Maconomy and other ERP's), often in a specialist area of the solution, and will understand the product on a technical level, its limitations, and how to take advantage of standard functionality.

It's this technical knowledge that sets a Functional Consultant apart, allowing them to best advise the business on the right solution to meet their needs while keeping global standard solutions front and centre.

You will be delivering functional and technical support and solutions for the business as 1st and 2nd line design, configuration, and delivery to meet business needs post the upgrade of the current solution.

The role will investigate new capabilities in the solution and bring solutions options to the business that would address needs or build efficiencies.

What you'll be doing

  • Being a trusted partner, able to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Write detailed user stories (Requirements) that both the business and developers can understand, collaborating closely with global partners including Senior Financial Controllers
  • Facilitating workshops with the business and technology teams

  • Conduct training to business users as necessary to ensure solution is used appropriately, developing training materials for our business

  • Crafting solutions to meet their business needs with enabling modules in Maconomy or other integrated financial solutions
  • Respond to business queries and concerns, working closely as a key contact to the Super User Network
  • Responsible for ensuring data controls are maintained
The skills & experience you'll need.

  • Ideally a financial background with a keenness to move into technology to leverage the power of knowing business processes, best practice and how technology can enable the business
  • Experienced in identifying improved ways of working and able to design new solutions, documentation of solutions and delivery for business outcomes
  • A track record of and passion for building and implementing fantastic products
  • Solid understanding of Finance Systems design in the context of ERP products. Ideally experience of Deltek
  • Maconomy, but also SAP, Oracle, Onestream, Microsoft 365 and Netsuite.
  • Experience working with Product Management, Agile, Design Thinking, and Lean methodologies
  • Able to recommend process improvement options with confidence and expertise
  • Flexible approach to all situations.
