The Role:
Value Chain Technology Ops. Lead/ Functional Consultant will create value and accelerate the delivery of S/4 HANA-based business transformations.
The role will act as a Functional SME and support delivery of Business process strategy and governance aligned to the underpinning product strategy, across the Client Opportunity and Engagement value chain.
- Provide functional leadership, working closely with the Business Process Owners, Product
- Owners and Operations Managers to fully understand process requirements and align with product roadmaps
- Determine and recommend functional design, focused on business objectives and desired outcomes
- Work closely with the Technical Team to convey and explain the business needs and requirements along with relevant technical direction in line with industry and implementation best practices
- Contribute to development of product strategy and subsequent roadmap, with special focus on S4 Hana Cloud
- Professional Services module
- Act as primary point of contact for process improvement recommendations and changes for respective business areas with a view across the Client Opportunity and Engagement Management value chain
- Work with other relevant SaaS product SMEs to deliver technology transformations to support business change
- Be a trusted advisor to business on how to improve processes specifically focused around Opportunity and Engagement Management, Resource and Talent Management and Pricing
- Coordinate with Value Stream Release Manager on release planning, scheduling and deployments, and support conflict resolutions
- Liaise with Data Management CoE to provide input on data impact assessments based on any data model changes and to ensure compliance to data consistency and quality standards
- Provide oversight and guidance on major incident root cause investigations and be the point of escalation for technical issues
- Liaise with extended business and technical teams to share knowledge, best practices and align to the strategy set by the Platform Owner
- Support business adoption through product demonstrations and discovery workshops
- Encourage and enforce knowledge management and operations artefact currency
- Represent the business functionaligned Ops team in appropriate governance forums. Chair relevant governance forums to ensure process metrics and KPIs are understood and adhered to by relevant process practitioners
- Work closely with Lead Solution Architect and Resilience Lead to ensure all security and resilience requirements and standards are periodically audited, monitored and adhered to.
Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:
- Strong Process driven thinking along with ability to focus on detail.
- Experience in large transformation programs, preferably in S/4HANA implementation with mastership in initial process design
- Experience in professional services (desired)
- Functional knowledge across SAP Partner products (Profinda, Twenty5 etc.), CRM, Atlassian products (JIRA) (bonus)
- Knowledge of backoffice business processes
- Knowledge of SaaS Release processes and procedures related to S4 Hana, or SAP Partner products
- Working knowledge of relevant service management standards and frameworks ( e.g. ITIL, Agile, DevOps, COBIT etc.)
- Have good interpersonal and senior stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence leaders and crossfunctional stakeholders to deliver value
- Innovative mindset for driving a continuous improvement culture
