Birth to 5 years

Our Early Years department which provides care and education to children from birth to five years offers everything that you would expect from an outstanding modern-day setting with the added benefit of feeling like a home away from home.

We are looking for an experienced room leader or someone who will be able to lead, inspire and motivate a team of dedicated practitioners within our thriving learning environments.
This is an all-year-round position based in the beautiful surroundings of Scarisbrick Hall School.


Responsibilities:

To lead and contribute towards providing a warm, friendly and stimulating environment, offering the very best play opportunities, care and education.

As a member of the leadership team, you have overall responsibility for your room and staff that work within it, ensuring they are performing to the highest standards.

To work as part of a team and to assist in the planning of a programme of care, education and play activities for all children.

To ensure compliance with Safeguarding Policies and Health & Safety.

Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
-
To work in partnership with parents, developing and maintaining reciprocal relationships, working in partnership to support children's learning and development needs
-
Have a positive approach and high regard to outdoor exploration
-
Undertake in house training to further develop your knowledge and understanding of early education, child development and neuroscience
-
Overseeing the observation planning and assessment of all children in the age phase as well as being responsible for a key group of children
-
Supervise a team and providing guidance and support

Competitive rate of pay

Full time, permanent position, working a 4 day week

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will require an enhanced disclosure from the DBS (Disclosure Barring Service).
