ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a
Business Advisor with experience of advising farm businesses to join our busy delivery team.
As a Business Advisor working at North Devon+, you will work within small team to support farm businesses across Devon with business planning, understanding current / future financial options / funding opportunities.
You will assist business to explore opportunities for sustainability, profitability, productivity, growth, environmental initiatives, diversification, animal health and welfare and succession planning.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team contributing to the work of the team as a whole and offering advice within areas of personal expertise.
- A good understanding of the current funding, policy and regulations relating to agriculture and farming businesses (i.e. Countryside Stewardship, Sustainable Farming Incentive, agricultural grants).
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with client base ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
- Ability to develop positive working relations with businesses and stakeholders and be a team player.
- Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise conflicting demands, meet deadlines and to deliver work to a high standard in terms of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel according to the needs of the job with reasonable adjustment, if required, according to the equality act.
