Description

Reporting into the Head of Risk and Compliance, the Risk & Compliance Officer has overall responsibility for the Group's risk & compliance activity.

Key responsibilities of our Risk & Compliance Officer include:


  • Providing agreed regular MI reports on the status of compliance within the company including any noncompliance or notifiable breaches identified.
  • Lead accreditation and memberships retention and ensure preparedness for any associated external audits e.g. ISO27001 / ISO9001 audits
  • Appling and enforcing all appropriate Acts, regulations, codes, standards, controls and policies across the entirety of the business
  • Ensuring all staff are aware of the company's culture of compliance and their compliance obligations.
  • Acting as Group DPO, handling an SAR requests and ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory developments
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date risk register for the business
  • Ensuring the company activities comply at all times with its procedures and external requirements
  • Training and monitoring of all staff in areas of compliance
  • Management, training and development of direct reports
  • Lead and participate in Group wide projects and initiatives as required

Requirements:


  • Minimum 13 years' experience in an audit/compliance/quality assurance role
  • To be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of compliance
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Information Governance & ISO standards
  • A professional manner and strong communication skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and influencing skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
£35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year

Experience:


  • Audit/compliance/quality assurance: 1 year (preferred)
