Reporting into the Head of Risk and Compliance, the Risk & Compliance Officer has overall responsibility for the Group's risk & compliance activity.

Key responsibilities of our Risk & Compliance Officer include:

Providing agreed regular MI reports on the status of compliance within the company including any noncompliance or notifiable breaches identified.
Lead accreditation and memberships retention and ensure preparedness for any associated external audits e.g. ISO27001 / ISO9001 audits
Appling and enforcing all appropriate Acts, regulations, codes, standards, controls and policies across the entirety of the business
Ensuring all staff are aware of the company's culture of compliance and their compliance obligations.
Acting as Group DPO, handling an SAR requests and ensuring GDPR compliance
Keeping up to date with regulatory developments
Maintain an accurate and up to date risk register for the business
Ensuring the company activities comply at all times with its procedures and external requirements
Training and monitoring of all staff in areas of compliance
Management, training and development of direct reports
Lead and participate in Group wide projects and initiatives as required

Requirements:

Minimum 13 years' experience in an audit/compliance/quality assurance role
To be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of compliance
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Information Governance & ISO standards
A professional manner and strong communication skills
Excellent written, verbal and influencing skills
