Description
Reporting into the Head of Risk and Compliance, the Risk & Compliance Officer has overall responsibility for the Group's risk & compliance activity.
Key responsibilities of our Risk & Compliance Officer include:- Providing agreed regular MI reports on the status of compliance within the company including any noncompliance or notifiable breaches identified.
- Lead accreditation and memberships retention and ensure preparedness for any associated external audits e.g. ISO27001 / ISO9001 audits
- Appling and enforcing all appropriate Acts, regulations, codes, standards, controls and policies across the entirety of the business
- Ensuring all staff are aware of the company's culture of compliance and their compliance obligations.
- Acting as Group DPO, handling an SAR requests and ensuring GDPR compliance
- Keeping up to date with regulatory developments
- Maintain an accurate and up to date risk register for the business
- Ensuring the company activities comply at all times with its procedures and external requirements
- Training and monitoring of all staff in areas of compliance
- Management, training and development of direct reports
- Lead and participate in Group wide projects and initiatives as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 13 years' experience in an audit/compliance/quality assurance role
- To be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of compliance
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Information Governance & ISO standards
- A professional manner and strong communication skills
- Excellent written, verbal and influencing skills
Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary:
£35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
