PURPOSE OF THE POST:

Age Connects Torfaen are currently looking to employ a receptionist to manage our front desk. If you are someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This could suit you.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Welcoming visitors, directing to appropriate departments
  • Taking messages and ensuring they are passed to the appropriate staff member.
  • Managing meeting room availability
  • Receiving, sorting distributing and dispatching daily mail
  • Processing allocated general administration tasks
  • Printing, photocopying, and faxing
  • Allocating and confirming of various service appointments
  • Supporting reception volunteers
  • Data Input
  • Maintaining safety and hygiene standards of the reception area
  • Attend training courses as required

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • To meet for regular Supervision with Line Manager
  • To attend Staff / team Meetings
  • To participate in developing and maintaining good public relationships
  • The work of Age Connects Torfaen changes over time and it is not possible to describe all the responsibilities of the work. It is to be expected that the worker will be called upon to take on responsibilities and tasks in furtherance on the purposes and scope of the post
  • To work in accordance with Age Connects Torfaen policies and procedures

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:


  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office and typing.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Organised and resourceful
  • Customerfocused
  • Active listener
  • Experienced in administration, prioritising, scheduling and multitasking.
  • Familiarity with multi line telephone systems
  • Understand the necessity for confidentiality

Job Type:
Part-time


Pay:
£9,984.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 per week
