Description
We are looking for enthusiastic, vibrant leader and mentor to join our Outpatient teams.

You will need to be a dynamic and motivated NMC registered nurse and be able to show leadership in a clinical area.


To support and deputise for the Senior Sister to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective leadership and management of staff and other resources.

Also to carry out the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the department.

To ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff, including pre and post registration students and /or providing specialist knowledge if working in a clinical area where a post registration course is essential.


The Outpatient Department consists of a variety of outpatient clinics providing diagnostic and therapeutic outpatient care to the local community.

The nursing service provides support for over 70 visiting clinicians from St Georges Trust to provide the full range of surgical and medical clinics.


The post holder will be based at St Johns/ Nelson Health Centre but might be requested to work/ cover all 4 sites when needed or in any ward at STG if staffing requires.

The working times can be from 8am to 8pm depending on clinical services. Weekend work might also be included depending on service needs.
