Description

The primary role of the IT business analyst is to: be responsible for enhancing the quality of IT products and services, analysing data to inform business decisions, and finding technological solutions to meet business needs.


An IT business analyst should have exceptional interpersonal skills as you need to act as a communication link between the IT, the Executive team and the client.


Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the IT Manager, liaising with third-party IT service providers as well as working closely with internal business departments
  • Acting as an information source and communicator between business departments
  • Liaising with endusers across the business to elicit requirements in order to develop solutions/enhance business processes
  • Understanding strategic business needs and plans for growth
  • Enhancing the quality of IT products and services
  • Analysing the design of technical systems and business models
  • Utilising IT data for business insights
  • Analysing business needs identify the business needs by understanding desired business/performance outcomes in order to develop effective solutions
  • Sourcing and implementing new business technology
  • Finding technological solutions to business problems & requirements
  • Manage project lifecycle
  • Analysing data to inform business decisions
  • Experience within an IT support environment
    or a general interest in IT
  • Excellent root cause analysis and problemsolving skills
  • Experience with delivering projects through to benefit capture stage
  • Logical & Analytical mindset
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and PowerBi or equivalent_ is advantageous. _
