J Docter Limited is an independent pharmacy chain located in the West Midlands. We are currently recruiting for a full time Counter Assistant to work at our Walsall branch.

Applicants must be committed, hardworking and provide great customer service to our patients.

The ability to respond to medical queries in a sensitive and professional manner is a key aspect of this role.

Good IT skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are all essential.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

Serve customers showing high standards of customer care at all times and provide a professional and friendly service.
Make over the counter sales and provide appropriate advice to customers on minor ailments and where appropriate refer them to the pharmacist.
Answer the telephone and respond to patient queries professionally.
OTC stock ordering.
Monitor and check expiry dates on the medication.
Work well as part of a team, liaising with the all pharmacy staff and other health professionals.
Comply with legal and company guidelines such as SOPs and GPhC regulations.
Respect confidentiality of information concerning customers in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

The above list is not exhaustive. You may be required to perform other duties, those deemed reasonable by your manager.

Experience in a similar role in pharmaceutical setting is essential. Counter Assistant qualifications are also required. Training and on the job support will be provided.
