Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated ESOL Tutor to join our fast-growing team.

The post holder will be required to deliver Entry Level 2 and 3 ESOL and Functional skill Level 1 English delivery face to face workshops in Shirebrook.

They must possess excellent communication skills, teamwork and be able to build and sustain effective working relationships with employers, learners and colleagues.


The primary task within this role is to support and educate learners working towards their Functional Skills in their journey to a successful end point assessment.


Key Responsibilities & Objectives:

  • Achieving minimum 88% endpoint assessment, leading to a minimum 88% success rate on the Apprenticeship Standard
  • Coach apprentices in business skills by guiding, supporting, providing accountability and encouragement
  • Visiting apprentices in the workplace, providing coaching and assessment
  • Supporting apprentices remotely to provide coaching and assessment via virtual learning platform
  • Establish positive working relationships with clients
  • To facilitate the enhancement of work performance, selfdirected learning and personal development
  • Prepare, agree and review apprenticeship learning plans
  • Challenge and develop apprentice's skills and abilities to enable them to achieve the best performance results
  • Tracking and reporting progress of planned learning to achieve endpoint assessment
  • Be quick to problem solve and produce solutions to any learning or development barriers to apprentice's
  • Providing observational and specific feedback, encouraging the apprentice to selfassess their performance and readiness for achievement
  • Ensure best practices and be aware of Health and Safety; Safeguarding; Prevent and related acts.

You will:


  • Be highly motivated, persuasive, persistent and patient
  • Have the ability to provide effective feedback
  • An excellent communicator
  • Excellent administration and marking skills
  • Have good administrative skills, be flexible, adaptable and be able to cope under pressure
  • Have experience in delivering Functional Skills Maths & English at Level 2 to groups as well as individuals
  • Have 2 years of delivery experience
  • Take part in regular CPD activities

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

You will receive:


  • A salary between £24,000 to £28,000 (pro rota)
  • Auto enrolment to pension plan following a successful probationary period
  • 25 days Annual leave (pro rota)plus all public bank holidays
