We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Admissions Officer to join our Admissions team at Bath Spa University

About the Role:

As Senior Admissions Officer, you will be reporting to the Admissions Coordinator (Partnerships), but under the general guidance of the Head of Admissions and Applicant Support.

You will be responsible for a range of functions relating to Admissions for various University programmes of study primarily delivered at our partner institutions.

In addition, you will be acting as a point of escalation for complex queries and to mentor less senior admissions officers and you will contribute to all major Academic Planning activities and events including open days, clearing, registration, examinations & assessments and graduation, working effectively with colleagues from across the University.

About You:

You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a strong commitment to customer service and confidentiality. You will be adept at relating to individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating a supportive and non-judgmental demeanour.

As a key part of the team, you will pay strong attention to detail, have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude are essential, along with tactful and diplomatic communication.

Dedication to equality, diversity, and inclusion is paramount, as is the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining good humour.

Additional Information:

Hybrid (1 day a week in the office, 4 days working from home)

Although based primarily at home and at Newton Park, work at other sites maybe required.

Some out of hours working will be occasionally required, including some evenings and specific weekends during the academic year (Graduation, Registration, Confirmation & Clearing).

Opportunities for taking annual leave during the months of August and September will be limited, and leave at other times will need to be assessed across the team so that service provision is not impacted.
