Children's Residential Team Leader - Preston

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Children's Residential Team Leader to join our team in Preston.
This is a pivotal role where you'll play a crucial part in providing exceptional care and guidance to children who need it most.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of residential support workers, ensuring the smooth daily operations of the children's home.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters children's wellbeing, development, and independence.
- Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans for each child.
- Provide support, guidance, and mentorship to children, addressing their emotional, social, and educational needs.
- Ensure adherence to all safeguarding policies and procedures, prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of children at all times.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the team's work schedules, rotas, and performance.
- Contribute to the recruitment, training, and development of residential support workers within your team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records and reports on children's progress and wellbeing.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Level 3 qualification in Children's and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong and compassionate leader with excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Proven track record of building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Passionate about child development, safeguarding, and creating a nurturing environment.
- Confident decisionmaker with a problemsolving approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
