Description

As a warehouse operative, you will play an integral role in the operation of our business, helping to ensure that our customer orders are accurately picked and packed ready for shipping.


Working alongside a team of experienced warehouse operatives, you will perform various duties and tasks that will include manual handling as you manoeuvre stock around and inspect inventory for damage and faults.

You will be communicating errors to relevant parties, maintaining stock accuracy and storing our products in accordance with our guidelines.

Day to day, you will be:

  • Working in a fast-paced environment, loading, unloading, picking, labelling and dispatching goods for shipment.
  • Responding to customer and colleague enquiries and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Following warehouse inventory processes for product storage.
  • Operating forklifts, pallet trucks and other equipment, such as barcode scanners.
  • Repeatedly lifting and handling to store, pick and move products around the warehouse.
  • Completing customer returns.
  • Complying with health and safety requirements.
  • Liaising with our outside couriers to confirm bookings and collections.
  • Stock cycle counting and controlling stock inventory.
  • Providing advice, guidance, and support to colleagues across departments.
  • Use shipping and computer systems such as excel/word/Microsoft Dynamics Nav.
  • Protecting customer confidential information.
  • Reporting possible threats to customer and ETB information.
  • Identify possible highrisk assets.
  • Assist with asset disposal policies.
  • Working and driving across various locations on site.

Your skills & qualities


Essential:

  • You have a high level of detail and accuracy.
  • You are IT literate and confident across most MS packages.
  • Work well as part of a team and can use your own initiative when needed.
  • Can positively represent ETB Technologies and are committed to delivering outstanding levels of work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Have proficient keyboard skills and ability to input data for long periods of time.
  • Problemsolving attitude.
  • Can manage multiple tasks, being highly organised.
  • Can demonstrate our values in your daytoday work.
  • Can work under pressure, prioritising your work and dealing with reactive issues in timely manner.

Desirable:

  • Have experience of a similar role in your current or previous job or can demonstrate these skills, personal qualities and experience that equip you to take on the role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence

£20,592.00-£21,892.00 per year
