Job Title:
Recycling Picker

Shift: 12 hour shifts - 2 on 2 off (day shift)

Salary:
£9.80 per hour starting pay

Duties:

To effectively remove containments from the picking belts such as stone, ceramic, porcelain, metals, Pyrex, paper, plastic and any other unwanted materials.

When the plant is stood you would be expected to take on cleaning duties or assist on breakdowns - engineering operations as required.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure the processed product passes all quality specifications by the removal of contaminants.
Ensure the picking station and immediate surrounding area is kept clean, tidy and safe at all times. Make sure that you record the cleanliness at the beginning and end of every shift.
Remove and separate unwanted materials as per work instructions issued or from Supervisors immediate requirements.
Make sure you have the correct PPE for any given tasks, that it is in an appropriate condition and it is being worn correctly.
Make sure that any bins used in the picking station are emptied at the end of each shift or during as appropriate.
To assist Maintenance during plant downtimes making sure you are either supervised or fully conversant with the task requirements and safety needs.
Report any plant defects or issues in the appropriate manner.
Assist in the cleaning of the plant and machines as required.
Complete any paperwork required.
Carry out any other duties as required by business needs that are within your capabilities.
Build good relationships with employees throughout the Company
