Description
This is a full time position. Salary negotiable depending on experience and any transferable skill sets.

There is usually overtime available and this is paid at x 1.25 rate for Saturdays and evenings after 6.30 pm for pre-arranged bookings upon agreementonly.

Hours in excess of 48 per week are classed as overtime. Overtime must be authorised in advance by Line Manager and discussed. This Overtime is paid at time and a half.


The Employee's annual holiday entitlement (inclusive of bank and public holidays) is 28 days for every year, a holiday, loyalty bonus is also accrued, 1 extra paid holiday day for each year of continuous employment capped at a maximum of 10.


Hours fluctuate everyday as it depends on bookings but generally speaking the first booking would be at 8 am and the last booking would be aimed to end by around 4 pm.


The position starts as a minimum wage as a base salary but with 10% of each survey so once full training and probation period is complete this position pays around £30-£40K a year plus.

Fast paced environment with strict timescales and deadlines to work to.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Shadowing experienced Asbestos Surveyor in his everyday duties
  • Carrying out asbestos condition checks and risk assessments
  • Completing various survey types to commercial, industrial and domestic premises
  • Producing reports and providing asbestos management plans
  • Ensuring full compliance with regulations
  • Creating site drawings in Microsoft Visio or equivalent software on site.
  • Bulk sampling and client liaison

Essential Requirements:

  • Prepared to commute to and from jobs in the South/East
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service manner
  • Valid and full UK driving licence (manual) and ability to travel
  • Must be over the age of 21 due to insurance reasons for driving company vehicles
