    Description

    Moving and Handling Training Consultant

    This is an exciting opportunity to work with a forward-thinking caring business making a positive impact on people's lives.

    As a part-time Moving and Handling Trainer, you will deliver training to delegates from various sectors, assess them, and achieve certification and qualifications to OfQual standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Deliver moving and handling training across different sectors
    2. Maintain professional standards and Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
    3. Assess learners to complete assessment documents in line with assessment standards
    4. Stay up-to-date with developments and initiatives in moving and handling practices
    5. Provide occupational health and safety advice to other departments and colleagues

    Required Qualifications:

    1. A recognised healthcare qualification at Level 6 or equivalent level of competence within the health and social care sector at Level 4
    2. Minimum of Level 4 qualification in Safer People Handling
    3. A teaching qualification such as PTTLS or equivalent Level 3
    4. D32/D33, A1/TAQA (desirable)
    5. Qualification in Health Ergonomic/Backcare management (desirable)
    6. Level 3 Health and Safety e.g. Nebosh General Certificate (desirable)

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    1. Strong background in moving and handling training and development
    2. Expertise in delivering training to diverse groups of learners
    3. Experience in designing and developing training courses in line with best practices
    4. Experience of mandatory training for the care sector and NHS
    5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    6. Excellent training/presentation skills

    This role may suit trainers/training consultants, people development partners, L&D managers, or similar professionals.

    This position offers a home-based opportunity commutable from various locations including Birmingham, Bristol, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Liverpool, and others.
