Description

Responsibilities:


  • Timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of results to Group, local management and Companies House.
  • Balance sheet management: responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, quarterly reporting and monitoring of balance sheet status to the local Risk and Permanent Control team and Group.
  • Responsible for the management, motivation and ongoing development of one FTE.
  • Intercompany and related party reporting: ensure full monthly reconciliation and confirmation of all intercompany and related party balances.
  • Preparation of adhoc financial reporting and MI.
  • Works closely with all departments obtaining detailed knowledge of all aspects of business essential to the areas of reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Management and coordination of corporation tax and VAT reporting via Group Services providers; provision of all requested information to facilitate timely and accurate reporting, respond to HMRC queries as required.
  • Treasury: liaise with treasurer and loan providers to ensure adequate levels of loan finance on a monthly basis. Ensure prompt and accurate repayment/rollover and disbursement of loans and interests thereon. Ensure optimum utilisation of cash management facilitiesin conjunction with the Treasury Manager.
  • Internal control and 1st level controls reporting: ensures compliance with internal reporting requirements.
  • Process improvement: drives process improvement within the Finance team and broader business where appropriate. Continually identifies opportunities for improvement and manages and monitors working collaboratively with all members of the Finance team andwider business where appropriate.
  • Management of Accounts Payable and Credit Control functions.

Profile:


  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
  • Extensive experience in a finance/accountancy role, including month end closing, journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of management reports.
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills & strong working knowledge of accounting systems, preferably Sage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills with an ability to maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally across all levels.
  • Strong logic and practical approach to multidimensional problem solving.
  • Shares openly ideas and opinions and is not afraid to lead change in the environment as well as adjusting to it.
  • Good team player.
  • Resilient and able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Salary:

£44,000 - £50,000 + car allowance + benefits + bonus
