  • The Operations Shift Team Leader is a pivotal role within our operational structure, offering exciting opportunities for leadership and impact. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and managing the performance and wellbeing of the team. Your duties will include coordinating tasks, ensuring adherence to operational procedures, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

As the Operational Shift Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in promoting teamwork, resolving conflicts, and providing support and guidance to team members.

It is essential to lead by example, setting the standard for excellence in all aspects of the role.

What you'll doDirectly accountable for leading and overseeing a team across various operational warehouse and fulfilment functions.


  • Maintain and promote high standards of Health Safety and Environmental compliance/controls within your area of responsibility and generally across the site.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
  • Foster an environment of engagement, inclusion and instil a sense of belonging within the team.
  • Oversee and track the team's time and attendance, performance, development, and overall wellbeing.
  • Take ownership of training and development for all levels of the team. Actively coach, develop and train team members to the required level of competence.
  • Monitor workflow and productivity ensuring the team achieves the agreed KPIs, making adjustments as necessary to meet operational targets and deadlines.
  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by team members and work to resolve conflicts or challenges effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members including your own direct reports to support their development and growth enhancing their skills and performance.
  • Effectively oversee the performance of all team members utilising our performance management metrics and if required implement disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
  • Identify opportunities for personal development and that of the team ensuring any training needs are addressed.
  • Regularly collaborate with operations and all other departments and sites to cultivate strong working relationships.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Be a role model for the Monica Vinader Aims and Values at all times.
    What you'll bringEnthusiasm, ideas, and a proactive mindset with a strong eagerness for continuous learning.
  • Relevant operational leadership experience, ideally gained from an eCommerce, retail, or multichannel environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and all round great communication skills with the ability to confidently present and inspire the team.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading and motivating teams, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team leaders and departments.
  • An ability to manage the team fairly and provide honest and constructive feedback in sometimes challenging situations.
  • An ability to plan and organise and adapt plans quickly in a fastchanging environment.
  • Strong work ethic with excellent organisational and problemsolving abilities, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Demonstrated Health & Safety/ Environmental experience within a warehouse environment.
  • Analytical with the ability to interpret data and identify appropriate actions.
  • A proven track record of delivering continuous improvement projects and change in an operational environment (including lean techniques).
  • Understand the use of metrics to drive performance.
