Location:
Great Baddow, Portsmouth, Filton - Hybrid (1/2 days onsite per week)


Salary:
up to £70,000 dependent on skill sets and experience


Project Engineering Manager Overview
Atlas Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an Project Engineering Manager on behalf our prestigious defence client.

You will work with a diverse team of engineering specialists developing & integrating cutting edge defence products. The Novel Sensors team has a proven track record of project delivery, by maximising the benefits of hybrid working.

You will be working ona leading cutting-edge technology programme in the radar and LDEW domain for a large technology-led organisation with opportunities to grow & build your career across multiple domains.


What you'll be doing as Project Engineering Manager:

  • Supporting the communication of a clear vision and strategy for the engineering team, generate enthusiasm and inspire commitment to the long-term goals
  • Working closely with the Project SDA, ensure the appropriate engineering planning, management and reviews to ensure project activities and their deliverables are integrated, safe, compliant and delivered within agreed requirements for cost, quality, timeand schedule
  • Technical management of tasks undertaken by other parts of BAE systems and subcontractors
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Ensuring that all engineering activities are carried out in line with internal processes and business policies
  • Team management line management and PDR responsibility for the project engineering team. Developing team members through the provision of appropriate training and coaching such that they are enabled to fulfil their potential

Your skills and experiences as Project Engineering Manager:


Essential skills:


  • Engineering Management of multidiscipline teams
  • Knowledge of the complete Engineering Lifecycle with experience of operating across all phases
  • Ability to challenge and resolve technical issues & conflicts
