Day shift:
Monday 08.00 to 16.00, Tuesday/Wednesday 07.45 to 16.00, Thursday 7.45 to 16.00, Friday 7.45 to 15.00


Night shift:
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 22.00 to 08.00

About the Role:


The CNC Setter is responsible for satisfying the production requirements of works orders and production schedules in accordance with the company's work instructions and quality standards.

The role involves reading and editing existing CNC programs, selecting appropriate tooling, setting machines, monitoring production, adjusting tool offsets, and ensuring the correct operation of the machines.

The CNC Setter must produce components accurately to drawing specifications, ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, maintain accurate and timely documentation, uphold high standards of housekeeping, and adhere to health and safety regulations.

Additionally, the role requires good team working ethic and a commitment to the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities:


  • Read and edit existing CNC programs, selecting the correct tooling to complement process alterations.
  • Upload and download programs, set machines, and monitor/inspect production.
  • Adjust tool offsets and replace tooling when necessary to ensure the correct operation of machines.
  • Produce components accurately to drawing specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the work area.
  • Demonstrate good team working ethic and a commitment to the highest quality standards.
  • Follow health and safety requirements.

Role Requirements:


Education/Qualifications:


  • Good standard of secondary education
  • College qualification, NVQ desirable

Related Experience:


  • Industry experience in a working machine shop is essential
  • Mid/High volume manufacturing experience is desirable

Skills:


Essential:


  • Time served apprenticeship
  • CNC milling experience
  • Experience with Mazak milling machines with Mazatrol controls

Desirable:


  • Experience with Haas machines with Fanuc controls
